In this day and age, explain to me how I can type a person's name into Google and come up with nothing relevant? How am I expected to i-stalk old friends from my past? It's really rude, if you ask me. Put some pictures of y'all's selves up on the internet for me to browse, people! Or do something noteworthy so someone else will, or at the very least get a dang MySpace page! Otherwise, what am I supposed to do at work!?
Hi! I’m Marcy. Welcome to my blog! I started keeping a blog in like 2003 on Friendster (remember that!?), and quickly became charmed by the idea of telling the internet about insignificant things that I did, observed, or thought about. Aren’t you so glad, Internet??? I grew up in North Carolina but have lived in Los Angeles for a handful of years, pursuing entertainmenty-type things with varying degrees of success, ranging from TV guest star to temper tantrums in which I throw myself face down on my bed and wail, “When will it be myyyyy tuuuuuurn????,” and everything in between. I’ve had some interesting day jobs along the way, including travel agent, “local expert,” and toy demonstrator, a job that consisted ENTIRELY of clocking in, playing with a toy, and clocking out. Right now I’m a copy editor in a tall office building in downtown LA. My hobbies include writing and performing comedy (sketch and improv), talking about getting back into tap dancing, and scolding myself for not playing my guitar as much as I should.
